Colin Philip Lowrie (born 20 June 1936) is an English stage and television actor, best known for portraying the role of Dennis Tanner in the long-running ITV soap opera Coronation Street, which he played from the programme's inception in 1960 to 1968, and again from 2011 to 2014.[1]
